How Etsy fees work
Etsy charges a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price (and on shipping you charge), a $0.20 listing fee per item, and a US payment processing fee of 3% + $0.25. On a $50 item that is about $3.25 + $0.20 + $1.75, or roughly $5.20 in fees.
- Transaction fee: 6.5% of the item price (also applied to any shipping you charge the buyer).
- Listing fee: $0.20 per listing, charged when you list and again when an item sells or renews.
- Payment processing: 3% + $0.25 per order in the US (rates vary by country).
- Optional Offsite Ads: 12% or 15% on sales that come through Etsy's offsite ads (mandatory above a sales threshold).
